In IVERNA we cannot stop innovating in our sector to satisfy all of those needs that we detect from our clients. That is why we have launched the new Marine manhole step 330 CR AISI-316, a new model that adds up to our current range of polypropylene pates. We have already reached 45 different models!
What makes this manhole step so special? Our step iron still has the qualities and finishes as usual:
- 12 mm steel rod with high impact polypropylene copolymer covering.
- Always virgin plastic, not recycled, with high hardness.
- Non-slip floor for perfect grip.
- Version suitable for straight and curved surfaces in a single model.
- Fins to prevent lateral falls.
Our steps have already been installed in multiple places: manholes, collectors, sewage systems, factories, containers… However, when the manhole step is outside and has to withstand inclemencies and effects of storms, or solar radiation, a manhole step of great resistance against aggressive environments is needed. That is why we have added to our modern range of polypropylene step irons the following features:
- Solid-to-light masters with ultraviolet protection.
- Stainless steel grade AISI-316.
- Elegant navy blue color perfect for ports.
Our marine polypropylene manhole step has already been successfully installed the stone beacon of Burela in the Port of Ferrol.
This beacon was built in 1959 and has been for decades an architectural symbol of the locality. Located in the region of Lugo (Spain), its structure was seriously damaged after one of the worst storms that shook the coast of Lugo in 2014. Iverna participated in the reconstruction of the beacon of Burela located on an islet 800 meters far from the port. Given the difficulty of working on such a small area with steep slopes and surrounded by sea, aeronautical means were to be used to avoid the use of infrastructure of large tonnage and size. To restore the beacon as an aid and safety element for maritime navigation, to implement new solar power technologies that avoid the use of batteries and to preserve the geometry and original colors as a symbol of the locality, have been the main objectives of this work.
The work of the beacon in the port of Ferrol is a perfect example of how demanding IVERNA is with the quality of its polypropylene manhole steps, creating a model able to withstand the most demanding weather, the crash of the waves hitting the structure, abrupt changes of temperature or constant sunlight exposure. All this, let us get an idea of the extremes the IVERNA marine manhole step can withstand.
In addition, this marine polypropylene step iron has already aroused the curiosity of other port organizations, for its great finish, simple installation and minimal maintenance. In this way, these manhole steps have been installed in the Port of Las Palmas and will soon arrive at the port of Barcelona.
