IVERNA had last Thursday, September 13, an access renewal to the Barakaldo Pumping Station next to RENFE railway station. The problem lay in the unevenness difference in the concrete wall that made the access extremely difficult with the system that was installed so far.
IVERNA solved the problem by manufacturing a custom fiberglass ladder with screws and anchor points in stainless steel. Thus, a much more comfortable and safe descent inside the station was achieved.
In order to increase the safety even more, a handhold in stainless steel was installed on each side of the ladder. This handhold entry pole is removable and can be stored under the manhole once it has been used. Its quality in AISI-316 stainless steel makes it resistant to any type of corrosion or humidity that may exist inside the confined space. In addition, assembly can be done both on the first steps of a ladder or directly on the concrete wall, always with its stainless-steel anchors.
